New Soap Pictures!

Ok these are LONG overdue, but finally soap new pictures for you to drool over! Over the past year I changed the shape and design of many of my soaps. Finally some pictures to show you how they look. Enjoy! This one is my Ayurvedic Shampoo and Body bar. It has such a great later and an almost licorice scent (though it is scented with Basil and Lime essential oils).

This lovely is my Irish stout shampoo and body bar. It was made with Guinness which really helps to boost the lather.

This refreshing bar is Eucalyptus mint. It is a soothing and cooling soap. I love to use it on mornings that I just need a jump start to wake up.

This one is my Coffee Kitchen Scrub soap. It is chock full of coffee grounds which help to remove kitchen scents (think garlic and onion) from your hands. This is also a great soap to use after gardening or a mechanics soap.

This is our seasonal Apple Pie soap. Pick some up before they sell out! I LOVE this scent. The scent of apples and cinnamon just relax me.

Check back soon as I will be posting more eye candy!

  1. Your new soaps are really lovely...not that your old ones weren't. :) I especially like the looks of the Apple Pie soap.

  2. Hello! Your pix look amazing... makes me want to try them out! I have just tried a soap based on your Salt Bar tutorial and instead of putting in in the oven, I incubated it for 11 hours. When I took it out, it was hard enough to cut, but kind of crumbled when I cut it... Any tips? xo Jen

  3. Jen-You really need to put the salt bars in the oven and then cut them immediately after you take them out. Otherwise, they will crumble :(
If you really don't want to use the oven, then you can use a mold that makes individual bars. I use a Kelsei mold that makes individual bars and I still use the oven method, but this way I don't have to worry about cutting the bars.

  4. Thank you so much Sara!! One more question - if you put them in the oven for a couple of hours, do they then still need the full month of curing before using?

  5. Jen-They should be fine to use after they cool, but I let them cure for 2 weeks before selling them.

  8. Thank you Sarah, just curious... your introduction says you are a student hoping to graduate in 2008.... did you graduate? Is soap a full time thing for you now? xo Jen

  9. Jennifer-I guess I need to update my profile. I will be graduating this May...it was wishful thinking I guess that I would have graduated in 2008. Ah well. I make soap as a small part time job-really it is more of a hobby that I sell to help pay for the hobby (I am registered and all official as a business though). I don't think I could make enough money to do this full time-well at least not without a ton of work to get my products in more places.
